TREEHOUSE CARPENTER

Job Purpose
We are seeking a creative and skilled treehouse carpenter to work within our operations team breathing new life into old treehouses and supporting the construction of new treehouses around the UK.

You will be responsible for making sure they stay in tip-top condition completing a variety of routine and ad-hoc aftercare tasks, as well as re-purposing treehouses to meet client’s changing needs and offering additional play items and garden structures where required.
In addition to this you will support the delivery of new treehouse projects, working with our operations team on a wide variety of daily tasks, including logistical support, coordination of other trades, general carpentry, etc.
Our clients are spread nationwide so the ability to travel and stay away for short periods will be essential.
Responsibilities
Undertake routine aftercare and maintenance of client’s treehouses
Inspecting buildings, rope bridges, raised platforms and play equipment and associated systems
Basic repairs to building fabric including cladding, guttering, locks, doors & windows, decks and support structures
Performing routine cleaning, decorating, and re-treating, both internal and external surfaces
Inspecting and troubleshooting problems and issues reported by clients or colleagues
Maintaining vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform the role effectively
Selling and fitting treehouse accessories such as swings, new play structures, refurbishment and fitting new equipment
Assisting with the logistics and delivery of new projects
This role requires an individual who is motivated, confident, and able to demonstrate their ability and proven track record in construction maintenance. They should be commercially astute and able to work well with clients and projects teams alike. They must possess good communication skills, be organised and attentive to detail. A CSCS card preferable.
Key Skills
First and second fix carpentry
General building and decorating experience
Computer literate with experience of Microsoft Office
Good communication skills and previous experience of working with customers directly.

Salary: £25,000 – £35,000 depending on experience
