A luxurious safari-style treehouse
Nestled in the heart of a lush garden in the Surrey countryside, this luxurious safari-style treehouse was meticulously designed as a multi-functional family entertainment space. The goal was to create a space that seamlessly blended with the surrounding nature while offering ample space for entertainment, comfort, and privacy. With sweeping views of the pool and alpaca paddocks, the design was carefully considered to highlight the natural environment while introducing elements of luxury and contemporary design.
The treehouse is accessed via an eye-catching, custom-designed spiral staircase. This architectural feature not only provides a striking focal point but is also illuminated with recessed lighting, creating a warm, ambient glow in the evening. The staircase leads to the main entertainment area, elevated above the surrounding garden for the perfect view.
The central hub of the treehouse is an open-plan entertainment space, perfect for both casual family time and sophisticated gatherings. Featuring a state-of-the-art drop-down projector screen and built-in surround sound speakers, the space is designed for movie nights, presentations, or simply unwinding with music. Its layout includes comfortable seating, ensuring a cozy yet luxurious atmosphere.
Adjacent to the entertainment area, the kitchenette is designed with modern conveniences in mind, offering everything needed to prepare snacks, drinks, or full meals.
the design process
A perfect family retreat
A gorgeous, sun-drenched deck extends from the treehouse, providing an ideal spot for sundowners, lounging, or simply enjoying the surrounding nature from the attached satellite deck.
Downstairs, the treehouse features an expansive undercover deck, perfect for outdoor relaxation or entertaining in any weather. There is also a full bathroom downstairs, designed with luxury fixtures, creating a self-sufficient space for guests or family members. Additionally, another undercover satellite dining deck offers an intimate setting for meals in the fresh air, providing an effortless transition between indoor and outdoor living.
The entire treehouse is positioned to take full advantage of the serene garden setting, which features panoramic views of the pool and alpaca paddocks. The surrounding greenery creates a sense of tranquillity and privacy, making this space feel like a peaceful retreat amidst nature.
